To All Members, Supporters, Donors, Volunteers, and Students:

The school has mandated that all student-raised proceeds be processed through school controlled student activity accounts. This significantly changes the way the BBABC operates and donates to students.

We are a separate 501(c)(3) charity with our own EIN and bank accounts. Under New Hampshire law and guidance from the Attorney General’s Charitable Trusts Unit, private charitable donations must not be commingled with public funds, and donor intent must be protected. Depositing our independently raised funds into school-managed student activity accounts would transfer control to the public school district, effectively making them public funds and risking violation of these principles.

Choosing to implement this decision mid-year will, in our opinion, negatively impact the students we all support. However, we neither chose the timing nor the course of action. We openly stated that we do not approve of such change.

This situation has been deeply painful for our all-volunteer leadership team, who have poured countless hours and heartfelt dedication into supporting these students out of pure passion for their success and well-being.

The school will now handle its own accounts, and our donations and support will remain paused as the organization restructures operations.

Thank you for your continued understanding and support.
