Frequently Asked Questions

As a general practice, Bedford High School does not charge admission for sporting events. Sporting events are always free for students, and most games are free of charge for families and the general public.

However, home varsity football games are an exception due to their larger attendance, which makes them an effective way to raise funds for specific capital projects. The $5 admission fee is consistent with neighboring high schools. Charging for football alone strikes a balance between maintaining free access to most sports while still addressing funding needs.

  • A Coach or Coach-approved Team Parent may submit funding requests on behalf of student athletes/teams.
  • All requests must be in writing (email) and include: clear description, purpose, benefit to student athletes; food/parties/consumables require reasonable cost estimate; apparel/gear/equipment require vendor quote or purchase order
  • All quotes and purchase orders must list “BBABC” as the purchaser/billing entity. Requests with quotes or POs listing the school, district, or any individual will be automatically denied.
  • On the 1st of every month, coaches should submit a simple list of all anticipated spending for that month (even if $0).
  • BBABC will review and approve/deny in writing.
  • If approved, BBABC determines payment method (direct vendor payment, check, or BBABC purchase card).
  • No coach, parent, staff member, or athletic director is authorized to obligate, charge, or contract on behalf of BBABC.
  • Reimbursement of school accounts, district purchase cards, or personal purchases is prohibited.
